Mechanical engineering · Founder · New York

I design parts, make them, and prove they work.

I'm Marwan Ibrahim, a mechanical engineering student at City College of New York and the founder of Bankasi Media. I design hardware in CAD, manufacture it in my own workshop, test it, and share the results.

01 / Strengths

What I'm good at, with numbers.

Six things I do well, each with one result behind it. The full evidence, with sources, is on its own page.

Figures as of October 2026.

02 / What I've built

A studio, a product line and a community.

I started all three myself and run them day to day, alongside my studies.

2024–today / Studio

Bankasi Media

I founded Bankasi Media in New York in 2024. I design and manufacture the parts, produce the videos, write the Workbench journal and develop the website.

  • YouTube views, 19 videos 137,260
  • Countries the videos reach 92
  • Workbench stories 38
  • Daily site visitors, Sep–Oct 2026 88 to 248

With support from Amr Ibrahim (finance and data) and Mohamed Ibrahim (creative direction).

2026 / Community

The Bankasi forum

A community forum for PC builds, 3D printing, [creations] and the workbench, set up in September 2026. I designed and directed the custom layer on top of Flarum and run it.

EliteDesk 800 Mini Fan Mount

A five-fan mount for the HP EliteDesk 800 Mini. I tested the second version over 11 HWiNFO runs.

  • NVMe temperature −19.0°C vs. stock
  • Chipset temperature −13.0°C vs. stock
  • CPU peak temperature −9.0°C vs. legacy mount

PCIe fan mounts

Mounts that sit in a spare PCIe slot and move air under the graphics card. I tested two versions and shared the results in a video.

  • GPU, two 40 mm fans −1.5°C vs. stock
  • GPU, one 60 mm fan −3°C vs. stock

Bars use the same scale across projects: full width is 19°C.

06 / About

About me

I study mechanical engineering at City College of New York. Most of my work happens at my desk and in my workshop.

I like practical problems: making room for airflow, supporting a graphics card, keeping a desk organised. My projects end up as parts, videos and write-ups.
